What Can You Expect from
Pilates / Core Work?
When you come for a Pilates, or Core session, you will be asked to bring sports clothing such as a t-shirt and shorts or leggings. Each session will last approximately 60 minutes, beginning with a brief evaluation of your posture and movement. You will then move through a series of warm up exercises that are designed to open and relax the body.
Following warm up, you will progress through a series of exercises designed to stretch tightened muscles and strengthen weakened muscles. The movements will also encourage proper breathing, develop coordination, and facilitate proper alignment of the body.
At the conclusion of your session, you will be provided with written exercises to perform at home between sessions.
