We proudly served Arlington since 1990, but relocated to Alexandria in mid March 2024 to create a cooperative clinical space shared by many wonderful physical therapy practitioners.

Hand-N-Hand Therapy was founded in 1990 by Dr. Diane T. Stroud PT, DPT, Advanced Certified Rolfer® and Dr. Pamela A. Wood PT, DPT during an evening chat at Bob & Edith's diner in Arlington Virginia. Having met through their home health experience with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), both brought unique skills to the field. Diane having a strong passion for the mind/body connection and Pam with her mechanical savviness truly embraced the art of physical therapy. Together these sage practitioners joined forces to create one of the longest standing woman owned physical therapy clinics in Virginia.

After more than 3 decades in private practice together, Diane and Pam downsized Hand N Hand Therapy clinic in mid March 2024 and relocated to Pinecrest Office Park in Alexandria Virginia.  Our goal being to progress slowly towards our retirement years while maintaining access to very sage practitioners.

Our colleague Donna Olivero, PT, PRC will continue on in her own private practice, sharing space with HNH.    Michelle Kondracki O'connor, PT, CLT-LANA will be sharing the Pinecrest space beginning August 2024, handling lymphatic and lymphedema cases.  Nancy Branberg, PT and women's health practitioner will also be sharing the Pinecrest space beginning in September 2024 handling many complex pelvic related issues.

We do have a referral list of wonderful providers as we all will be working at a more reduced schedule.  Send an email to our office or make a phone request at 703-527-8446 for this provider listing.
